    5 SEO Myths You Should Ignore in Your Crypto Business Strategy

    How does the crypto SEO landscape differ from that of conventional SEO? Not a great deal, aside from the fact that the crypto niche itself is one of the most dynamic and fastest-growing sectors worldwide.

    All of this calls for an equally dynamic and flexible crypto SEO campaign, with a qualified and experienced professional at the helm.  Joining forces with a top-rated SEO agency could be the best business decision you ever make, and drive an unbeatable return on your marketing spend.

    Even so, it is not uncommon for crypto business owners to be put off by some of the longest-standing myths and misconceptions regarding SEO. To help put at least a few of these unfounded suggestions to rest, here is a brief overview of 5 well and truly debunked crypto SEO myths:

    1. SEO is a One-Time-Only Task

    First up, the biggest mistake you can make with SEO is treating it as a one-time task.  The truth is even the most effective SEO tools, and tactics can fall out of favor with the major search engines (literally) overnight.

    This means that if you are not continuously monitoring and optimizing the performance of your campaign, it will quickly begin to stagnate.

    The only effective approach to SEO is a continuous approach – one that targets long-term gains. You cannot and will not propel yourself up the rankings overnight, but put in the work to make it happen gradually, and the payoff could be huge.

    2. SEO is All About Traffic

    Understandably, the potential to pull in a tone of targeted traffic is the primary point of appeal with SEO for many. But it’s worth considering the benefits that go hand in hand with a sizeable improvement in your SERP placement.

    For example, a crypto website that appears toward the top end of the rankings will instinctively be considered more credible than its counterparts below.  A prominent SERP position gives you the kind of assumed authority you need to present your business as trustworthy, paving the way for more traffic and more conversions.

    Hence, crypto SEO is about more than just pulling in more traffic. It’s also about convincing those who do click through to your website to take some form of action when they arrive.

    3. High Keyword Density Will Improve Page Ranking

    This may once have been the case, but could not be further from the truth today. Google has been taking aim at those who overuse keywords for some time, and has made a number of adjustments to its search algorithm accordingly.

    Today, even the slightest overuse of any keyword or search term can render an entire page of content (if not the whole website) unviable in Google’s eyes.  The same can also be said for the use of irrelevant keywords – i.e., anything that is not of genuine relevance to the content it appears in.

    Of course, targeting the right keywords and search terms is as important today as it ever was. The difference is that where it was once possible to gain an edge by deliberately overusing keywords, doing so today will have the opposite of the intended effect.

    4. Backlink Building is No Longer Important

    Quite the opposite – backlink building is more important and beneficial than it has ever been. This myth stems from the fact that Google has declared an all-out war on low-quality backlinks. They have gone on record numerous times to state how a single high-quality backlink will bring your site more SEO value than (literally) millions of low-grade backlinks.

    Backlinks of questionable quality may not drag your SEO profile down, but nor will they do it any favors.

    Hence, those who invest time and effort in stacking up many thousands of spam backlinks are finding themselves with nothing to show for their efforts. And in doing so, perpetuating myths concerning the value of backlinks…which in the case of high-authority links is at an all-time high.

    5. It’s More Cost-Effective to Handle SEO In-House

    Last up, the only instance in which it is more cost-effective to handle SEO in-house is if you have a trained team of professionals to cover your SEO requirements full-time. Otherwise, you could save time and money (while generating far better returns) by outsourcing.

    The simple fact of the matter is that the contemporary SEO landscape is too complex and demanding to be negotiated by anyone but an experienced professional.  By bringing such an individual (or agency) on board, you stand to get much more back for every penny you invest.
